Reminds me of the X-COM vehicle.

For scale.  You can easily put a squad of 6 inside

Old Crow Cargo Jeep - With Conversion

Finished up another Old Crow hover jeep, this one is the cargo version.

I've converted this to be a heavy weapon support.  Added a small piece of guitar wire in back to give it a power cable.

Old Crow Jeeps - First one Painted

The first finished Old Crow Jeep:

Great mini... I have 5 more to do.  I used silly putty for the making for the camo.  The  aerials are from a nylon broom and the decals are 1/100 scale gundam decals.

First time doing the aerials... i'm pretty happy how they turned out, and they won't impale me like brass ones!

Space / Air Superiority Fighter

Well, I my intel has advised me that Flick has some Corsair Battlesuits inbound:

So, I needed a new "secret weapon"... I needed Air/Space Superiority!

With a low-radar profile, both low atmo and orbital capabilities, the Zeonic X-47 Fighter provides complete battlefield support.  With variable weapon load-out and concealed weapon bays the X-47 is top-of-the-line mercenary fighter.  

It's an Old Crow 6mm dropship, which is now a 15mm fighter :)

I'm very happy how this turned out...  The decals were printed on clear decal paper (except the skull and warning text, that's from other decal sheets) and applied onto light colors so that they didn't get muddled out.

Test Tutorial - "Digital Camo"

Well, I came upon this link today:

And I figured I'd give it a try:

I used an old crow vehicle I had sitting around that had already been painted in a light blue/gray with a wash...


First I laid out two strips of masking tape, then I used my exacto to slice them in half long-ways and then into 1/4 inch sections.  After that I used my tweezers to place the cut rectangles on my vehicle in a fairly random pattern:

After most of the first layer is on:

Normally I'd use an airbrush, but it was late at night and my wife and baby were sleeping, so I just used a paintbrush.  I basically heavy dabbed the paint on as not to move the masking layers.  Here is the second coat:

Applying the second masking layer:

Painting the top, and darkest, color...

Removing the masking after letting it dry for a while.

And after a quick highlight and some simple details picked out:

I'm actually really happy how it turned out.  Not too "clean" but it actually works well.  When I get some more details painted and some decals i'm sure it will look great!

Old Crow - 15mm Apartment Buildings

These are great!

I got one of the large apartment buildings, two of the smaller ones, and two scout cars.

These will be great for all my games, but especially my shadowrun games!  I might end up getting more of these... they are very affordable.
