Hi everyone,

I picked up one of each of the packs of the new US Army in Hardsuits from Ground Zero Games for tomorrows war.

They are really cool figures!  I got my first squad done last night:

Also, these are the first pics with my new Hanger 18 backdrops...

(I tried to paint an american flag on the shoulder, let me know what you think!)

New Photo Techniques

Hi Everyone,

As i'm preparing for my new miniatures line (clearhorizonminiatures.com) i'm experimenting with new photo techniques... I'm pretty happy how they turned out!
The Survey team disembarks with corporate in tow.
Standing guard in the fields.

Omni-Corp starts their all-terrain patrol.

The ground is a pre-made BUSCH ground cover set.  The back is simply a neutral gray piece of cardstock.  The whole thing is in a popup light box with a bunch of lights.

And some city shots:

Let me know what you think!

Crimson Hegemony Dossier

Organization Name:  Crimson Hegemony

Organization Type: Mercenary/Pirate

Threat Level: Epsilon Nova+

Background:  Created in 2612 PS by the enigmatic leader known only as “The Arbiter” the CRIMSON HEGEMONY has quickly gained a reputation for brutal and efficient raids and military actions.
The CRIMSON HEGEMONY is unique in the fact that it recruits from almost all species excluding Humans.  Humans are allowed to join, but are often unable to pass the rigorous physical and mental entrance tests including multiple fractal-space dilatation equations, which are very difficult to master without at least 3 brain hemispheres, and cold vacuum survival.   The Humans that pass and are accepted tend to be some of the most dangerous individuals on the Outer Rim territories.  The majority of the species in the CRIMSON HEGEMONY are Klazon, En’Tra, and Podital species groups, although this can vary due to combat losses and recruitment.

Well-funded by both the spoils of its conquests and with the support of currently-unknown backers the CRIMSON HEGEMONY is equipped with some of the most cutting-edge equipment on this side of Rim Space.   The standard load-out consists of XN-AB35 Personal Combat armor equipped with a MIV high-energy plasma field generator.  A NN-Terminator Gauss Cannon is the standard weapon, although this can change based on personal preference. Several heavy weapon types are also issued.
Specialists in Starship boarding and colony raids, the CRIMSON HEGEMONY prefers to work under-contract, but has no qualms about pursing its own agenda should the opportunity present itself.
Employing the devastating firepower and maneuverability of the Zarfed-AI Gunships and the quick response and heavy weapons of the N2 walkers the CRIMSON HEGEMONY can take on most forces and direct-action campaigns excluding full-on front warfare.

THE CRIMSON HEGEMONY IS A THREAT LEVEL EPSILON NOVA+, AVOID AT ALL COSTS, NOTIFY FEDERATED FORCES IMMEDIATELY UPON CONTACT.

GZG - UNSC/L Squad with a UNSC/H Atatachment

Finished my first squad before the reinforcements arrive:

I have another two squads (at least) and another couple of UNSC/H inbound... so I wanted to get a scheme down with the ones I already had

As always, feedback is welcome!

WIP: Space Pirates and UNSC/L

Working on my Crimson Hegemony (Rebel Minis Pan-galactic).  The one with a helemt has the helemt courtesy of CMG Arc Fleet.  I'll also be repainting the Drone from yellow to red.

And my first UNSC paint:

Still have to finish painting him.  I think I might do a blue/white camo scheme on the vehicles.

Painted - GZG 8-wheel MICV

Finished up with the tank commander and the decals:

I have another one of these, and a big gun version inbound, along with more of the GZG UNSC.  Haven't figured out how to paint the UNSC yet, but if you have any suggestions, please let me know!

Newest GZG NI Squad - With Converted Heads from GZG

Hi Everyone,

I had pictures of these guys up in my group shot, but the matte varnish acted a little funny (I think I put it on too thick) so I had to re-apply with my brush.  I use brush on varnish since I've had some problems with the spray variety.

Anyways, I've converted up three of the squad members with heads from GZG.  Two have NVG on, and the "SAW" gunner has the bald head with a cigar.

I'm also trying to paint more ethnicities in my force, to show a more diverse force.  I realized that I usually just paint the same skin tones, and since I enjoy painting faces that it would be fun to experiment.
