Gruntz: Death Race!
So, after watching Death Race 2 and 3 last night, I came up with:
Gruntz: Death Race!
The advanced vehicle rules are used. See page 38.
When the race starts no weapon systems may be used. Each time a vehicle runs over a weapon activation icon, the vehicle can then choose to activate one weapon system during their turns.
Each player builds a WHEELED vehicle using the TANK builder for 30 points.
The players take turn placing 5 race markers at least 12” from each other, starting with the Start Marker and ending with the last marker 5” from the start marker. Each marker should be numbered.
There are two ways to win:
1. Drive within 2” of each marker, in sequence, and be the first racer to hit the finish line. If players agree they can increase the number of “laps” required.
2. Be the last surviving vehicle.
And that's it! What do you guys think?

Painted: SPECTER Operative stalks his target...
Painted up the Shalur merc that I sculpted the pouches on.
He is now my SPECTER Operative.
Here he is on an off-world colony, closing in on his latest mission:
I really enjoyed the conversion, and I'm sure i'll have to do at least a couple more to round out a squad! I'll probably use these in solo (or co-op) gaming in 5150 NB.

First Sculpting Attempt - Pouches on the Shalur
Hi Everyone,
I've been wanting to learn how to do a little sculpting, mostly for when I want to do pouches, or maybe faces, etc. I got my Shalur mercs from Rebel Minis, which are really cool figures:

I wanted mine to be more of a human spec-ops team, and I noticed they have a passing similarity to this figure:
So, I figured the biggest difference was the lack of pouches, so I tried my best, a three magazine(?) pouch, an empty weak-hand holster, and a couple of belt pouches on the back.
I think it turned out ok, it'll be interesting to see how it paints up!
What do you guys think?
WIP: Merc Dropship - Tau "Conversion"
Working on my Merc Dropship:
It works perfect for 15mm scale, it could easily carry 20 - 25 mercs in there.
I'm going to say the front two semi-circles are docking clamps. What, you've never seen an interstellar spaceship before?

New Crimson Hegemony Logo
Ok, I think I like this one better:
The globes on the spiders abdomen are supposed to represent the home system of the Organization.
What do you think?

Crimson Hegemony - Insignia
Hello all,
I'm teaching myself Adobe Illustrator and decided my CH force needed a logo!
And yes, it has some "Tau" symbols, but since i used their decals on my vehicles I figured it was ok :)

The black dots represent their home system, or maybe the eyes of a dangerous space spider, I'm not sure.
If you have any logos you'd like me to take a crack at, just let me know!
Threat Recognition Card - Crimson Hegemony
Created to assist Federated Troops in identifying enemy forces, The Crimson Hegemony is the subject in this Threat Recognition Card.

Electrical Box Building and Crimson Hegemony
I built this building out of an electrical box and GZG building bits.
The only change to the box is that I sawed off the little "wings" on the side.
I then primed it with the red color, washed it, and then highlighted it. I also picked out a couple of details with grey.
I'm very happy with it, and I look forward to making more!
Any suggestions?

Crimson Hegemony Dossier
Organization Name: Crimson Hegemony
Organization Type:
Mercenary/Pirate
Threat Level: Epsilon
Nova+
Background: Created in 2612 PS by the enigmatic leader
known only as “The Arbiter” the CRIMSON HEGEMONY has quickly gained a
reputation for brutal and efficient raids and military actions.
The CRIMSON HEGEMONY is unique in the fact that it recruits
from almost all species excluding Humans.
Humans are allowed to join, but are
often unable to pass the rigorous physical and mental entrance tests including multiple
fractal-space dilatation equations, which are very difficult to master without
at least 3 brain hemispheres, and cold vacuum survival. The Humans
that pass and are accepted tend to be some of the most dangerous individuals on
the Outer Rim territories. The majority
of the species in the CRIMSON HEGEMONY are Klazon, En’Tra, and Podital species
groups, although this can vary due to combat losses and recruitment.
Well-funded by both the spoils of its conquests and with the
support of currently-unknown backers the CRIMSON HEGEMONY is equipped with some
of the most cutting-edge equipment on this side of Rim Space. The
standard load-out consists of XN-AB35 Personal Combat armor equipped with a MIV
high-energy plasma field generator. A
NN-Terminator Gauss Cannon is the standard weapon, although this can change based
on personal preference. Several heavy weapon types are also issued.
Specialists in Starship boarding and colony raids, the
CRIMSON HEGEMONY prefers to work under-contract, but has no qualms about
pursing its own agenda should the opportunity present itself.
Employing the devastating firepower and maneuverability of
the Zarfed-AI Gunships and the quick response and heavy weapons of the N2
walkers the CRIMSON HEGEMONY can take on most forces and direct-action
campaigns excluding full-on front warfare.
THE CRIMSON HEGEMONY IS A THREAT LEVEL EPSILON NOVA+, AVOID
AT ALL COSTS, NOTIFY FEDERATED FORCES IMMEDIATELY UPON CONTACT.

6mm from Angel Barracks
I picked up some 6mm troops and "junker" buildings from Angel Barracks.
Some amazing detail on 6mm, I'm still trying to figure out how to do it justice, here is my first try:
