New acquisition, slightly larger scale...7lbs 5 oz and 19.5 inches long...

I had a new arrival come in today, a little bigger than my normal scale! My wife gave birth to our first child, Lily, today!  She was 7lbs 5oz and 19.5 inches long...
Both mom and baby are happy and healthy, and we are looking forward to taking her home!
And besides, I'm gonna need a helper at some point. I think I can start her out drybrushing ;)

  1. Congratulations on the addition and future figure painter for Dad...

  2. Great green stuff skills, congrats, cute baby.

  3. Congratulations mate. Well Done both of you :D

  4. Congratulations, welcome to the ranks of the sleep deprived.

  5. Congratulations!

This is my first comment on your blog but its a fitting one. As a father of three and keen wargamer I can offer a wee bit of advice. Keep everyone well off the floor and I mean everything, in fact try and keep it in a different room. Babies once they start to move get everywhere!

    Well done to you both.

  6. Congratulations!!! I have to agree with Gavin. They look cute at first, but when they start moving around they act like little Feringi, it is all about the acquisition. I started keeping decoys around my hobby room for my oldest.

  7. Congratulations! Take it from another new parent... you might not have as much painting time as you like (if any) for a while, but it'll come back. Especially if you end up awake at odd hours a lot :)

You do have >8 months before she starts crawling around the house, at least. So no need to lock the toolbox just yet.

We welcome any comments or suggestions!
